WHY?
PLAIN AND SIMPLE!
FOR FREELANCERS:
You get the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own
home, have more time for yourself and for your family (considering you don’t
have to travel “home-office-home”), lessen monthly expenses (gas or fare), a
chance to manage your own working schedule, and a whole lot of employers to
choose from with excellent opportunities as it is a global market to
freelancers in all trades and professions. Good Compensation and Incentives
will follow for a job well done.
TIPS:
- Be honest and concise about the skills and field you are capable of doing.
- Read and Understand the whole Job Description of a Project prior bidding. For questions, indicate it on the Clarification Board before bidding.
- Don’t get too wordy! Employers might pass out on your bid. Go straight to the point and make your terms clear upon dealing with the Employer.
- Follow-up with a private message to get more into the details of the job. This would also show your interest to work for them.
- It’s always good to upload samples of your work together with your private message. But, be sure to provide the best samples that are relevant to the job. (QUALITY over QUANTITY!)
CAUTION: For SAMPLE designs or
alike, have them watermarked or at least have your name on them, unless you
want to give your work away!
- Be Competitive with your pricing. (KNOW WHAT YOU ARE WORTH!) Bidding the lowest doesn’t necessarily mean you have the highest possibility of winning. Keep your skills into consideration whilst bidding. If you are NEW TO FREELANCING, don’t oversell yourself consider building a reputation first. A little common sense will go a long way here.
- Proofread your bid prior submission. Just to make sure you have laid it all straight and clean (misspellings, wrong grammar, etc.), remember, you are trying to sell your service here. No Employer would hire someone who says he/ she is keen to detail when in fact he/she misspelled some lines whilst bidding.
FOR EMPLOYERS:
You have a Global
Choice of acquiring highly skilled FREELANCERS. You get to SAVE MORE on your allotted capital to support your
business (No need to rent an office, or provide computers, etc.). That’s a TRUCKLOAD of
SAVINGS!
